The Pride Toronto Parade has come a long way since its humble beginnings! It all started in the early 1980s as a small but bold march organized by the local 2SLGBTQ+ community to protest for equal rights and visibility. Over the years, it grew into one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, drawing millions of people to the streets of Toronto each June.

From its early days of activism to becoming a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and equality, the Pride Parade has always been about coming together to honor the 2SLGBTQ+ community’s strength, resilience, and joy. It’s more than just a parade—it’s a movement, a celebration, and a party all rolled into one!

Today, Pride Toronto’s Parade is a must-see event, featuring colorful floats, incredible performances, and people from all walks of life marching in solidarity. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come and a reminder that there’s still work to be done. And every year, it just keeps getting bigger, brighter, and more fabulous!
