Public Safety Announcement
Pride Toronto Public Message: Due to the increase in security risks we have seen over the past few weeks, Pride Toronto is prioritizing our festival guests’ safety. We are authorizing our security to check for weapons using a security wand for all individuals as they enter the designated spaces. Please be advised that this may result in a slower check in-process. We are hoping individuals understand that our priority is everyone’s safety and we are only introducing this to ensure our stage areas are safe for all individuals. Sherwin Modeste Executive Director of Pride Toronto
Festival Update – June 24
Over the past 48 hours, we have received several inquiries on how Pride attendees can assist in reducing the long lines. This speaks to our community’s commitment to keeping each other safe. We are therefore asking that if you want to enter a staging area (i.e., TD Main Stage, BudLight Seltzer Wellesley Stage, etc.) and do not need to carry a bag, please don’t. This will be a huge help in ensuring the lines will move speedily and we can all enjoy the long-awaited Pride festivities! We hope everyone understands that our priority is everyone’s safety and we are only introducing this to ensure our stage areas are safe for all individuals. Thank you, and happy Pride!
