The series of paintings are inspired by Princess Yashodhara 506 BC. The exhibition is a tale of grief and tragedy of awakening, of joy and contentment. Within his art, Samuel focuses on the use of erotic and spiritual playfulness to create a sense of sacred. Samuel is inspired by two of India's most traditional techniques - kalamnakari and madhubani.
Jane hosts an evening in two parts. First is a reading of a new queer play (this year, Til Rain by T Berto), after which is Open Mic, where you can rant, sing, strip, do drag, recite, or do whatever tickles your fancy. Jane will be pleased to introduce you, and she’ll even do a little act of her own.
